The idea of colleges taking away entrance to their campuses from those seniors who allow their grades to fall, or who simply don't finish the demanding schedule they told the college they were taking, in my opinion is the right thing to do. If a student is planning on going to college, they should be prepared for it. College isn't the same as high school, you'll no longer have teachers looking over your shoulders, babying you the entire time. Students should know that if you're taking a class, you must give it your all. There is no slacking off. Colleges taking away their campuses is 100% the right thing for colleges to do.
Students spend 12 years of school, just preparing them for the outside world. High school, in general, is preparing you for college. You learn to be organized, prompt, and to not procrastinate. Four years of English, three of History, and three of a mathematics. All to prepare you for the future. You learn to be punctual, going to class on time. Teachers ask for either binders or notebooks, all to keep your materials in an orderly fashion. Teachers spend over a decade preparing you for life after high school, so why shouldn't college have the right to take away your enterance when you're slacking off?
No one said that life after high school was going to be easy. I can guarentee that from here on, it'll only get harder. The way you handle it, is what counts. Being a college students, requires you to study hard. It'll require you to be punctual, and it will definitely require you to be organized. All the things all your teachers have been teaching you, is going to be a neccesity in college. If you work hard, your hard work will always pay off.
