The Reeve.

In my opinion, the Reeve was an old man who was known to have many outbursts of anger. He was a tall, thin man who had a beard that was shaved roughly close to his skin. His hair was cut in a fastidious and particular was. He dressed very clean and fit. He went about things in a very smart, and organized way. He always knew when to plant his seeds and grains. He was in charge of all animals, stores, and cattle pens. He was known to be very smart about his business, and had a master he would go to daily. He was a witty, wise man.

American Dream

I believe I can achieve anything. In my own opinion, I believe that the “American Dream” is to simply be happy with your life. It does sound a bit cliché, but that is what I honestly believe. To achieve what you want, you must come across multiple obstacles. In the article, “Generation Screwed”, Anthony Mancini quotes, “We’re definitely f—ked”. I strongly disagree. Yes, the economy is not at its best right now, and frankly it might not be for the next couple of years. But, does that mean there is no type of hope left for anything? American has came a long way, to just sit here and say we’re all out of luck. We’ve gone through wars, natural disasters, and going way in debt, but even through all of this, we are still a standing country, a standing state. With that said, why wouldn’t I able to achieve my own “American Dream”? If American can go through all these types of obstacles, and complications, why wouldn’t I be able to overcome all this and get to my own dreams? Now, you ask if I would need to modify my dream. I reply, the same way I’ve replied to the first answer, why? Why should I have to modify a dream, I’ve been trying my seventeen years of life to achieve? In the article, “iCrazy”, physiologist Sherry Turkle points out that “we are all cyborgs now”, meaning that everyone we do is now somehow connected to the use of the Internet. But, why is that a bad thing? If there is a faster and more efficient way of finding answers and learning new things, why are we against this? Now days, results to many things are given in a matter of seconds, hours, and days. If it wasn’t for all the new technology today, we all wouldn’t’ be where we are now. The diseases, and cures discovered wouldn’t have been discovered as quick as they have been, and possibly not even discovered yet. The “American Dream” for me is achievable only if you let it be. My entire life, I have gone by one quote and one quote only. “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible”
